Vehicle Lube Points

With today's modern brake systems, proper cleaning and lubrication is critical. Proper procedures lead to an improved performance, long life, and a quiet operation. The Electronic Stability Control Systems found on today's vehicles can send up to 40 signals per second (without driver input) through the hydraulic ABS unit and out to the wheels. The brake pads and calipers must be able to react smoothly during a stability control brake event. All pad/caliper contact points and slides should be lubricated with an appropriate synthetic brake lube.

Pay particular attention to the melt point rating of the brake lubricant you are using. The brakes on Severe-Duty/Police vehicles typically operate in a much higher temperature range than your passenger vehicles and require a high-temperate brake lubricant. Several brake lubes offer a high quality severe duty lube designed to withstand high temperatures.
