Question:
When a technician is using a Ford wiring diagram to trace a ground-side fault, what specific information does the 10-3 designation provide beneath the component's location identifier?
Answer: Ford wiring diagrams use a cell numbering system to help find individual wiring diagrams for systems. The 10 refers to the cell number and the 3 refers to the page the diagram can be found on. Together, 10-3 tells the technician to turn to Cell 10, Page 3 of the manual to find a more detailed diagram of that ground.
