BRAKE PEDAL RETURN
A customer has a concern of the brake pedal not returning after being applied. What is the most probable cause of the concern?
The spring in the brake booster. The spring inside the brake booster is responsible for assisting in returning the brake pedal to its rest position after each application of the pedal. If the brake booster develops enough moisture in it to form rust on the return spring it is possible the spring will break causing the pedal to no longer return.
